Quick And Simple Trick To De-Stress In Less Than 5 Minutes


It’s been a long day.  The kids have been going a mile-a-minute, your husband has a hole in his favorite pair of jeans, you forgot necessary ingredients for tonight’s dinner, the house is a mess, and the repairman showed up 30 minutes early. Ahhhh!

If you literally have about five minutes to stow away in the hall closet to find a few minutes of solace.

Then I have the perfect quick remedy for you.

This can be done practically anywhere.  I’ve tried it in my car, on my back patio, and when I was working in a busy office.

However, I prefer finding a quiet space that is dark and somewhat confined, so my bedroom closet is perfect for this.


Quick and Simple Trick To De-Stress In Less Than 5 Min.


Here’s What You Can Do

I simply grab my favorite scented lotion, put a dollop into my hand, close my eyes and rub it into my palms, hands, wrists, and forearms. 

Take deep breaths.

As you inhale, savor the aroma of your lotion.  Allow your mind to immerse itself in how creamy it feels on your skin.

As you massage your hands, notice how your joints and tendons feel.  Do they feel tight?  Do you notice as your rub them a slight ache?  Any tender places?

Give them special attention.

Continue breathing in and out for five repetitions.

When you’re ready, go ahead and open your eyes.

Notice how you feel.  Is there a difference?  Do you feel grounded or focused? I usually feel calmer, and that makes me feel focused and ready to get back in the game.

It’s the perfect little remedy to take the edge off of a stress-filled day.
